thank you for having brooks on the show and a well conducted interview. since the turn of the 19th century each generation of strength devotees have had to deal with charletans promising much, delivering naught and taking the money.on the other hand there have been those who have walked a straight line teaching safe, sensible and productive training.brooks kubik is of the latter ilk and his writings will be helping people get strong and healthy 100 yr.from now.

First contact with Brooks was on the legendary Hardgainer. Very few people have the guts to train like a real dinosaur. No nonsense HEAVY training, bench presses, overhead presses, squats, front squats, trap bar deadlifts, deadlifts, dumbbell&barbel l rows, curls, farmer's walk, sandbag walk, log lift, awkward objects lifting. Progression of the pundages & abbreviated training. Currently i'm training on a 3x week shedule like this: A)Bench press, Squat, Front Squat(bottom position) B)Standing Press (bottom position), Dumbbel 1 hand row, biceps barbell curl C)Deadlift, Shrugs, Heavy Side Bend I'm getting great result and in a matter of weeks i'll be deadlifting RAW 500lbs @ 200 hard lean lbs bodyweight. All lifts are RAW NO-NO-NO lifts. Stay strong, big and hard and train like a dino, if you can take it.

I first read Dinosaur Training about 12 years ago. Reading this book was one of the best things I ever did for my training. Brooks Kubik is, without doubt, a true guru of strength training, and he is a tremendous coach. My shelves are now filled with his books and courses, and I'm always looking forward to his next book.

Because life interfered with my working out, I was forced to take a layoff from working out for about 15 years. Best advice I can give to any older lifter out there is you can try every workout under the sun and waste a lot of time, or you can listen to Brooks. Brooks is the #1 go-to guy for us older lifters. Thanks Brooks

It was nice hearing the voice behind the words and I enjoyed the length of the conversation. I like how he pushes training for life and health. This endeavor is not for a small time period of your life. If you can't keep it up week after week, month after month, year after year, you are probably doing something wrong. Go Brooks!

Brook and his Dino book made a real change in my life. It revamped my lifting career. I wish I would've know this when I was younger. I've started enjoying my workouts again since I started applying his advice. I even contacted Mr. Steiner myself and bought one of his book, wonderful and simple stuff. My hat off to Brooks. :-)

I'd like to add that I'm 51 and have 36 years training experience, 33 training others, 32 professionally. It is beyond the shadow of a doubt that Brooks', Steiner's and Rader's style of abbreviated basic "Dino-Style" lifting is the all-time blueprint for safe productive lean tissue building and strength. May I also add that complicated "special" training "routines" are pedaled only by those with overgrown commercial interests and it ruins the good and wholesome intentions of newbies to improve themselves.

It's great to hear someone mention Bradley Steiner and Peary Rader's Ironman Mag. I always looked forward to Steiner's columns. He gave good solid advice - use free weights, do basic compound lifts, eat a lot, etc. Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed his columns, I never really followed his advice. I guess Muscle and Fiction had more influence on my immature mind.
