Show Notes:

[1:20] Osteoarthritis affects ~80% of aging individuals.

[5:00] Most joint replacement surgeries do not have long-term success.

[7:16] The culprit of osteoarthritis.

  • Levels of overall inflammation in the body.
  • Genetic components.
  • Autoimmune OA is a possibility as well; this will wear our all of the joints in the body more quickly.

[11:00] Hylauronic acid injections.

  • They are not a long-term solution, but they do help.

[16:20] Platelet and stem-cell therapy are better options but do not fix the environment that caused the problem.

  • Dietary and stressor interventions must be made.

[18:20] Pro inflammatory diets.

  • Nobody fares well on a high sugar diet.

[21:30] Treating distended gut problems.

  • Betaine HCl between meals.
  • Glutamine.
  • BPC-157.
  • Elimination of sugar.
  • Stevia.

[28:39] Even something as simple as BPC-157 can help OA tremendously.

[29:35] AOD-9604.

  • Originally for fat loss.
  • Completely regenerated and maintained cartilage in rabbits.
  • Usually stacked with hyaluronic acid.

[33:10] Will AOD-9604 for fat loss see crossover benefits.

  • Yes, there is a systemic benefit.

[34:55] CJC and Ipamorelin

[35:17] Pentosan polysulfate.

  • It is a synthetic cellulose molecule from the beechwood tree.
  • Reverses arthritis long-term.
  • Lowers C2C levels.
  • Increases bloodflow to the joint and the bone.
  • 2x/ week for 6 weeks.
  • It is a minimal blood thinner.
  • Can be done subcutaneous.

[42:03] Start using these agents before  stem-cell and PRP therapy.

[44:51] Oral pentosane polysulfate can be used orally, but there is a larger risk of blood thinning.

[45:39] Collagen peptides.

  • Improved walking distance in a knee-replacement group.
  • Take with a small amount of vitamin C pre workout.

[51:51] Don’t let the cost of therapy scare you.

  • Most people have a 3-5 thousand dollar deductible.
  • This offsets the cost of a treatment that actually works.
