Guest: Dr.William Kohler & Dr. Diane Boivins & Dr. Bryce Mander
Dr. Kohler is the Medical director at the Florida Sleep Institute and we discuss the damaging effects to the heart from moderate snoring. This is a wake up call for all my listeners that snoring should not be taken lightly. While Sleep Apnea is also discussed the take away is that ALL snoring has the potential to damage the heart and disrupt sleep. PLUS Dr. Boivins group looked at women with several PMS Dysphoric Disorder and found they had impaired melatonin production. PLUS Dr. Mander's group looked at the effect of memory ON sleep as opposed to what has been traditionally done in reverse. This is really intriguing as we discuss the chicken and egg relationship between sleep and healthy aging.
