I want to tell everybody that I think I'm kind of over the hump of the caffeine withdrawal today.
[00:00:49] I actually feel good. I have felt horrible. That's an understatement since last Sunday when I cut out all caffeine. I. And [00:01:00] chocolate nothing with caffeine. I had to stop by quality. I had to stop everything just for a short time until I could kick the dependency that I had and today is the first day.
[00:01:09] I actually got a really great night sleep last night the pain in my eye was gone thanks to ibuprofen and I woke up this morning and trained. I felt great after training. I know that I'm back on course and now without further delay. Calling all blueprint Army fall in line. It's time for the blueprint Power Hour with Coach Rodriguez on the Superhuman radio network.
[00:01:38] How you doing Robert? I'm great. I got my head said I'm I look like I'm landing claims here. But I'm just happy to be on air with you and the rest of the folks. Yeah. Well we figured out we figured out why every time I would talk when we would do a Facebook live rat might the first couple syllables of my words would bounce back at me and they'd make this weird wonky [00:02:00] noise on the on the tape and I couldn't figure it out and then I realized what it was was was feedback from Rob's speakers.
[00:02:09] Into his microphone because he was using to speak in the microphone in his computer. So by isolating the audio and having it come into his head phone. We got rid of that because I'm sure annoyed some people I have to believe it did so yeah just glad it works. Yes. Me too. Me, too. So, how are you doing Rob?
[00:02:25] I boy talk about the Difference A Day Makes. I think I've cleared the hump and I'm much. Much more at peace with some of the things I was struggling with. So I feel much better struggling with you mean that the loss of so many people in such a short period of time or the fact that you may have to change the way you train or all of that the death the death of my close friend Doug, you know, it was it was never something that I dealt well with and.
[00:02:57] You know, I still struggle with it obviously, right? [00:03:00] Right and it gets better it gets better with each passing day. But I know what you're talking about. I know exactly what you're talking about. And it's tough It's hard to get past some of that stuff. But I'm glad that you're feeling better. And we're going to have a fantastic show today in honor of you.
[00:03:13] And the first question. I've got to get his name. Hold on. I am not being a good host today. So the first question actually comes from. And it's up on the screen Mike Sanders. He says I'm a big fan of AST research and I understand you're not why is that plus I use vp2 dgc. And your Salah Cassidy, I guess all products from from AST research, right?
[00:03:38] Yeah. Yeah and you know we covered this before but I'm surprised. By the number of people that continue to ask me this question. I don't know if they're just found a St on a lark or what but the story goes like this way back in the early 1990s. I was enamored with AST [00:04:00] research. Why? They were putting out products that actually worked the first of which was I met a dream 25, which was a federal hydrochloride pure 25 milligrams.
[00:04:13] No quaff venison, none of that stuff. I saw a nav if it's like 10 bucks making these ridiculous claims and I said, well, I, you know take a flyer. It's only 10 bucks. And they're in started a chapter of my life that unfolds everyday and hasn't stopped since then. I have been on what ephedrine for 25-30 years now with nothing but upside to show for it.
[00:04:42] So the second product. That they did that I came across was something called Gaba gamma-aminobutyric acid and it was a singular amino acid, which I thought at that point was useless but much like that Mediterranean 25. I tried it and boy did I [00:05:00] feel it, you know has a very feelable effect that you don't soon forget now.
[00:05:10] At that point is shortly after that point. They started to change and I put some phone calls in out there and I stayed for a long time on the phone with a guy before he completely switched his demeanor and said. We know who you are. I said, what are you talking about? He says you work for EAS. Like what?
[00:05:34] What are you talking about? He says forget it buddy your names on the wall the names on the wall. That's a fun. Yeah. Yeah that whole thing. So as I said that, you know, the company was changing. And the product line was expanding exponentially they were doing one of everything it seemed to me whereas before it was much better in my opinion.
[00:05:58] It was a small lineup [00:06:00] but every product worked so consequently, I stopped dealing with AST. You know, what do you do when they say you're a scammer Etc if you don't know what you know, what's funny about this? So you and I didn't know each other back then we probably were shoulder to shoulder on some of the forums reading and posting but do and I didn't know each other back.
[00:06:24] Then I had the same exact experience with them which tells me that this is how they treated people in general. So I was buying all their and real products. 19 nors and the Android all capsules and I was I was spending good money on these right and one day I just was I was getting ready to travel and I was taking a bunch out of the bottle to make sure I had enough for the days.
[00:06:49] I was going to be on my trip because I was traveling on business back then and I just remembered seeing light through one of the capsules. I was like, what's that and I pinched it was almost empty. I pinched another one. [00:07:00] So I ended up taking like 20 bottles out my camera just disappeared. I think we just lost the internet.
[00:07:07] Man, this is frustrating today. I'm going to have to we're going to have to go to telephone. Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Just sit tight everybody. And we're going to have to leave Facebook live.
[00:07:25] Sit tight we're gonna have to just abandon Facebook live. Hold on a second and we're going to just roll on with the podcast. I'm just going to kill the Facebook live feed because I don't see any cameras. We lost the internet again, and I don't want to have to fool with this again and again throughout the show.
[00:07:40] So anyway, you can hear me. Okay, right Rob. Oh, wait, wait wait Rob. I got the wrong Mike open, okay. You can hear me right Mike Rob. Yes. Okay. Yeah, so I had a similar experience. We're just going to roll right on when we're not going to let this take us down. So what ended up happening was I called the [00:08:00] company also I took I took all my capsules to a pharmacy and I said would you do me a favor?
[00:08:06] Could you weigh these for me? The guy thought I was crazy and I handed him the bottle. I told him what it was and I said, could you wait he's for me. I just want to know. If what's in here is consistent like is the same amount in every capsule and the guy who did it for me. I came back a couple days and he told me without any uncertainty that these capsules will all over the place.
[00:08:28] He said, you know supplements have like a fifteen percent under over you're allowed to get by with but these capsules he's had some of these there's hardly anything in so I called the company up ast research and I get this guy on the phone. I don't know who it was. I tell them what's going on. I expect this guy to say to me, you know, what we'll send you a bottle and I'll make sure that the Caps are full instead.
[00:08:49] He goes will give you a coupon for our website and their website the MSRP was like higher than everyplace else. So I was going to end up having to buy another bottle at more than I paid for at [00:09:00] a supplements. I think I was buying them from one fast 400 back then. I don't know if I remember correctly.
[00:09:04] I don't know. But anyway. I said that doesn't satisfy me. I said I'm going to have to buy another bottle. This bottle is in full. Your manufacturing is off. He don't want to hear nothing about it and he just let me go and I thought to myself. Well, I'll never buy anything from that company and little did.
[00:09:20] I know I'd have a podcast someday talking about this sort of stuff. I mean, you know, you don't treat your customers like that. You just don't that's the bottom line. Right, right and and along those lines, you know that in that accusatory phone call. He said you've never bought a product from us.
[00:09:38] And I said well, why would I your is two to three times the cost where I can get it right at your retailer. But listen the three finally the three products that you're taking vp2 is a decent way isolate, but. It's more expensive and not nearly as good as Thrive which gives you way plus [00:10:00] micellar Cassie and among other things.
[00:10:05] There were solok acid is in capsule form. The only people I ever heard. Getting results from her solok acid was from Pat Arnold's transdermal product. So I would ditch those and d g c d g c boy, it sounds cutting-edge dextrorotatory crystals AKA otherwise known as. Sugar really that's really all it is.
[00:10:33] That's all it is glucose. So look you could do a lot worse, but there are many companies out there that make just as high quality of product if not better and you know, they don't treat customers like AST does and if you're going to use a sugar pre-workout Josh field taught me this when I was at a quest one time, there's something called clustered extra.
[00:11:00] [00:10:59] Yep, and it's a very very fast acting sugar. Whatever you take before your workout. Assuming. You don't like you're not a hog about it. Whatever you take before your workout will be used up during your workout. So if you're somebody who's like low carb keto and you just don't want to have all those extra carbs clustered extra.
[00:11:18] Is like the best sugar no one knows about yeah. Yeah, and you know, it's unfortunate. Like I said because there are companies out there that are certainly better and you know more worthy of your dollar. Yeah. I'm just typing on Facebook had to abandon live video. go to. Audio stream, so you haven't high winds down there Earth sing something.
[00:11:49] No. No, it's a beautiful day. Actually very beautiful. Yeah. All right. Let's go on to the next question. It's you know, it's hard to roll on when you have technical difficulties, but we do it here because we're professionals Henry [00:12:00] Kozlowski says, I know you've been in the game for a long time. So we're here's my question.
[00:12:04] How do you stay motivated? I am probably the worst guy in the world to ask this question because I come from the other side of the tracks. You know, I need to be training to feel at my best. So when I see someone. That is not motivated. For example there in their Lazy Boy chair and they're eating doughnuts and they're complaining that they're 50 pounds overweight.
[00:12:35] Well, the only way that situation is going to change is if you get into the gym and work it it's not going to change if you're sitting on the couch. So, you know, you've got a lot of people out there that are a lot of talk and no action, you know, there are two things. And unfortunately, some people won't tolerate these but there's two of two things that are going to make it work hard work [00:13:00] and time that is not the message that a lot of people want to hear.
[00:13:07] A lot of Americans want to be lied to but it's sad but it's the truth. They want to be told. That in 90 60 30 days or less you're going to me that you're going to make a complete body transformation and and look it. You know it. I know it everyone should know it. It doesn't work like that. You got to put the time in and you got to put the work in the other thing that this leads to.
[00:13:40] This kind of frustration is shortcuts in so far as bodybuilding drugs or more frequently and supplements because think about it. What's the easier message for most people to get a if I take your supplement at night before I go to bed. [00:14:00] I'll burn fat and build muscle right as opposed to my message, which is it takes hard work and time.
[00:14:09] You know, look there's a time and a place will be a time and a place for both of those things supplements and drugs eaten in some people's cases, but I'm going to tell you the best thing you can do to accelerate the amount of time. It's going to take to get in the shape that you want and it's this.
[00:14:31] Hire a personal trainer. Hmm many people are spending One Two Three or hundred three or more hundred dollars per month on supplements. If you just took part of that and hired a personal trainer you would get to where you want to go faster why that person knows something that you don't. That person has made mistakes can help you avoid [00:15:00] those mistakes and they will dramatically accelerate your progress curve without drugs without surgery and without any Miracle pills hire a personal trainer.
[00:15:12] If they're funny that's like that probably the farthest thing from somebody's mind. Yes. Absolutely. Now women are more receptive to that. However than men far more receptive a man most men. Look at that situation and say asking for help is just makes me weak. It's the complete opposite asking for help.
[00:15:36] Is the smartest move you can make in this business in my opinion and it is rarely to your point a personal trainer is rarely if ever hired. Yeah, and it's a silly I you know, and it's like and you don't have to hire a personal trainer to watch you work out day in and day out. You just need them to help you get some of the basics done and down pat make sure you're doing things right and then you're off on your own and that's [00:16:00] it.
[00:16:00] You know. The other thing is that I have to say. So as I admitted at the beginning of the show that I've cold turkey caffeine and after literally a gram a day for decades, you know, it's like it was not an easy thing. I mean, I actually thought I was developing some sort of neurological issue. Like my brain wasn't functioning.
[00:16:20] I felt off balance. The one thing that did happen immediately was my sleep improved after two nights of no caffeine. Crazy crazy my deep sleep in my REM sleep doubled doubled gets into two hours now and night each of them each that that alone is worth it, of course and you know to steal somebody else's saying.
[00:16:44] Stand efforting is the one I heard say this once about something else. It's like people keep telling me. No, but caffeine so good for your caffeine is great caffeine makes you train harder caffeine. Does this caffeine does that and I said, yeah, but I'm getting two hours of deep and two hours of REM sleep now before I was only getting one and [00:17:00] one like for me to ignore those changes in my sleep would be like stepping over dollars to pick up dimes.
[00:17:09] I mean, it just doesn't make sense. It's like I don't care what caffeine does for you. I'm talking about what it does to me write more and better rest and you know far less cortisol. I'd be with him and I ended up going to the gym the other day and I posted on Facebook. I walked into Jim and I thought to myself.
[00:17:25] I can't even believe I'm here. I don't know even though I'm going to be able to do and after the first set of moving some weight. Yep, I just felt good. And by the time I was into my second and third set I was rocking out to the music and I was like, oh my God, this is medicine man. This is what medicine is supposed to do for you.
[00:17:46] Yeah, and people need to do they need to hear that message. You might not feel like working out but trust me after a couple of hard sets. Your central nervous system is. And you feel like a million bucks. [00:18:00] So yeah, I've had that experience and more people I think should have it to ditch the stimulants man.
[00:18:06] They're not doing you any favors. Yeah, and and that and motivation should be the fact that you know that after you train you're going to feel better. If you if you learned that lesson you don't have to wake up and read a member in the morning to get to the gym. Larry poll says I like to megadose my supplements because.
[00:18:26] I seem to have better results that way. What can you tell me about mega dosing things like creatine beta-alanine and pre workouts. I like to get really stemmed up. Wow. What a great question if the what we just talked about because I'm normally a low-key guy. Is there some validity. In what I'm doing ya know I can relate to one of his ladder points are about State, you know, you're a low-key guy and stimulants make you feel good, you know to my recollection.
[00:18:54] They made me feel remember. My God, this must be what it feels like to be happy, [00:19:00] you know normal, but anyway be that as it may in the strictest sense mega dosing there may be some instances where more is better of a compound but those are situations are exceedingly rare and certainly the exception not the rule now mega dosing creatine.
[00:19:20] All that's going to do is result in a lot of creatinine. Right and wasted creatine especially after your saturated so similar to vitamin. You know any more than about a gram of the time and when talking vitamin C. It's just extreme it the same things going to happen with your creatine. Now, the muscle cell is only going to hold so much water like a water balloon, you know, you'll notice no additional benefit.
[00:19:49] Once that's full beta-alanine that is even worse to Mega dose because. And I'll define mega dosing is more than six grams a day. [00:20:00] But even at that level it's problematic because large doses of beta alanine displaced taurine, which is essential amongst other things in regulating heart rhythm. You will actually develop an arrhythmia just a few days into doing that if you're getting too much beta alanine and I'll tell you it's scary.
[00:20:24] When you get two free workouts, we kind of just spoke about it, but it's worth reiterating these you know, there are supplements today that actually worked at look back in the 80s. You take too much especially of a pre-workout and you may end up in the ER you may end up your gun. Right, you're going to be in a bad situation, especially if yohimbe is involved well and a lot of these pre workouts today.
[00:20:49] Like they are now pushing new thresholds where they have 400 and 500 milligrams of of combined caffeine and then they have other stimulants as you're pointing out like [00:21:00] yohimbine and and other and other agents that are known to be stimulants and you there's a lot of guys out there that are. Haven't been taking pre workouts for a decade that if that the first pre-workout they take and they take a recommended dose in a lot of them even say start out with a half dose and determine your own tolerance because you'll end up in the ER with tachycardia your heart will be doing flip-flops.
[00:21:24] You'd be like, oh my God, am I dying right and I'll tell you this if you really want to see what it does to you and so far as deleterious effect. Take your blood pressure. You know what half hour after taking the Pre-Workout in a lot of cases, especially the excessive high dose caffeine your blood pressure goes through the roof.
[00:21:46] And now that might not kill you today but months and maybe years from now or if you have a pre-existing condition. It might just kill you today stimulants are nothing to megadose. That's [00:22:00] really the model and creatine. Is it either so so so you. There are supplements that you can megadose and get away with it like vitamin C.
[00:22:07] You know, Michael Hearn has been taking 10 grams of vitamin C every day for like the past 25 years so so much for the whole vitamin C will shut down your gains notion. But anyway, There's some supplements you can megadose in they'll give you diarrhea. There's some supplements that you can megadose and they will actually hurt organ systems creatine is one of them if you megadose creatine the the the load on your kidneys of creatine.
[00:22:37] It could actually cause some of the same effects as outright. Rhabdo. Well, in fact in the hospital, they looked at me and as they were discharging me and said, you know, do you use creatine with said yeah, but you know, very maybe five grams on the weekends 5 grams a day, which is nothing and he just kind of shook his head and he [00:23:00] said he said I personally wouldn't do it because he can lead to some of the situations.
[00:23:05] We're talking about I will say this when I do start taking creatine again, it's going to be Creole cognac but I have to take as much right. Yeah for that very reason, right and then and then beta alanine of you overdose on that trust me, you'll never overdose on it again because your body will become one yuge walking itch.
[00:23:25] Yeah, you'll be burning and itching you won't know where to scratch first. You'll think to yourself. Oh my god. I think I'm gonna die. Yeah, I forgot the tingles. Yeah, forget about I made the bad mistake of taking a four and a half gram dose of beta alanine with 500 milligrams of niacin nicotinic acid.
[00:23:45] One day I couldn't train I was itching my ass my back. My fingers will all read my face was all red people like, what's wrong. Are you? Okay? I was like, yeah, it's a supplement reaction. I was saying yeah, I mean, yeah, you'll never do that again. [00:24:00] That's bad stuff. But some things you can overdose on, you know, you can you can take larger doses of some amino acids like Gaba.
[00:24:07] If you want to you can take some larger doses of certain things, but I don't think that the overdose supplement approach is really worthy of anything personal. No, I'm especially it can be scary to be because listen we have things I've actually worked out. Yeah, right, you know, I'm just you know, this isn't Russian secret in the bottle.
[00:24:30] Remember that stuff Russian Bear ten thousand calorie Weight Gainer. Yeah, and then and then had a had a picture of a guy like with Army fatigues on and he had a he had like a Kalashnikov in his hand and he was all muscled up. And that was it Russian Bear was a supplement for bodybuilders. You know, what's sad about that?
[00:24:51] It's still out there today, which means it's still selling. It is a food supplement and the end of the day, you know, I mean, it is a food supplement. So it's not too bad. [00:32:42] So we're all familiar right with that Infamous statement that he made it was feels like Deca, but did you know that he got that in a fax from Dan Duchesne? And I don't know if Dan was screwing around. [00:33:00] I don't know if maybe he was you did you find this out that Dan facts him? Oh, I did. I did a lot of research the book steroid nation and the couple of dams columns actually filled those blanks in really so yeah, when you when you hear that, you know is almost universally attributed to Phillips, but in fact it was on a faction day and Duchesne.
[00:33:26] Wow, that's hilarious. Yeah, yeah, so hmb is simply a metabolite of loosing and it was studied and is continuing to be studied by researchers. I think it's Steve nessen and he and the vi University of Iowa. Hold the patent on. So hmb is rolled out to much fanfare. It feels like Deca. It's $100 a bottle something ridiculous like that.
[00:33:57] So it was one of the few that I didn't [00:34:00] try but I didn't need to to see and speak with the people that have been using it. I spoke to one guy who was Furious. He wanted to get on a plane fly outs, Colorado and ring till Phillips his neck. Look. It's nothing like. Deca and subsequent studies showed that simple loosing in a dose of 3 grams was much better or did everything that hmb profess to do and more so.
[00:34:34] So the initial studies that are done on it, you know this and does they they look promising of course and it kind of gets pitched out again to the public and it falls flat on its face the next time we hear about hmb was this is 2015 2014-15 now we hear that they have. Purdue's THM be free free acid.
[00:35:00] [00:35:01] So this was going to work, you know, we've worked out all the bugs, etc. Etc. But importantly there was a major study showing that hmb. Produced very steroid like gains and I forget the exact number but you know, it was like a 12-week study and guys put on 16 pounds of muscle and lost just as much fat.
[00:35:25] It was insane when you took a closer look at the study, whatever results they did get. We're completely attributed to the training. In fact, it was a very powerful way to train protocol where you've got a certain amount of overreaching and then you pull back to let you know the good effects the positive effects manifest and that's not unlike, you know, the blueprints salmon and feast phases but be that as it may.
[00:35:57] It was it was that [00:36:00] study was closely positioned in the new hmb free acid campaign and I knew it the second it came out. I can go back and find the show, but as much as I said don't be fooled again. This is not going to work and sure enough. It doesn't work. And if you don't believe that you can head on over to sup versity where Adele did a very nice piece a meta-analysis that's you know, scientists did on hmb.
[00:36:32] So they looked at all of the studies and in not so many words. They said the only place that hmb works is with Steve Nissen in the University of Iowa. That's funny. Yeah, so look, I don't know what you think it's doing for you. But whatever it is. You can be done better in my opinion than [00:37:00] losing hmb is nothing like Deca it never was and it never will be.
[00:37:05] So Ron Randell has the question that is on everybody's mind. I really need to bring up my arms. What kind of curls are best how many sets and how many reps and really the best curl to build thick biceps is the endless curls. They're called endless because you start at 10 a.m. In the morning and you don't stop until 6 p.m.
[00:37:33] At night. Keep doing curls. Remember that remember that built very good one inch. Yeah, add 1 inch your upper arms in a single workout. Rob put me through it and I did in fact add and complete inch my arms went from 17 to 18 inches in one workout and it was permanent. We looked weeks later. It's stuck her up.
[00:37:52] Yeah. Yeah, but let me tell you right now. This was not for the weak. Did I had a bring food with me Rob had me [00:38:00] eating a carbohydrate supplement and a protein supplement. I'd mix it shake I want to say every half hour to every 40 minutes. I stopped to have shake that had carbs and protein in it and that probably is the only reason why I didn't end up with rhabdo that day.
[00:38:15] Yeah, and you know what? In fact I designed that drink solely for the add 1 inch to your upper arms protocol, right? So maybe someday we should go back and revisit it but you know, it's pretty cool when you when you actually do that, you know, it's insane. Yeah, and and all fairness it was tricep and bicep workout.
[00:38:35] So you did biceps your triceps. Uu8, you did biceps your triceps you ate and you did that literally for five hours straight. Right. And so that's obviously a very Advanced unorthodox technique. But let's be honest when most guys get into this game. They want to build big arms big guns as they say the girls love them.
[00:38:59] And you know, [00:39:00] that's the girls I've spoken to they do they like big arms, but the simple fact of the matter. Is that your arms consist of very small muscles at least relative to your legs and back the biceps and triceps. So you've got guys in there doing like you said endless sets of curls, but this goes on everyday, you know, or at least.
[00:39:22] Three four times a week. I saw a guy in the gym just the other day doing concentration curls for like an hour. He was a hundred and fifty pounds soaking wet. And so the question becomes them. I guess how to best to build the the arms and I will tell you in all sincerity my arms only started to grow when I dropped direct arm work.
[00:39:51] So what do I mean by that? I mean this if you are doing justice, so you're pushing and pulling movements in your workouts and working those, [00:40:00] you know, incredibly hard then your biceps and triceps can't help but get a fantastic workout. You know think about this the close grip bench, press how much weight can use on that as opposed to you know, lying skull crusher's some people call them something else.
[00:40:19] I forgot what it is, but you know down to the nose and back up how much weight can you use and how difficult can you make it for close grip push ups, you know as opposed to other. Maybe standing hammer curls. It's no contest. And then finally the you know, the third movement that I'm a huge fan of is is dips again.
[00:40:43] You can use a monstrous amount of weight and you work the entire upper body in that instance but to answer the question. What is the best bicep building or are moving movement the answer to that? Is the close grip [00:41:00] Palms up chin up which blows any other kind of curl out of the water? Why because it works the bicep from origin shoulder to insertion elbow.
[00:41:13] No other movement for the biceps curl at least a curl. Is that true? And it is a very powerful growth stimulus because think about it. What are your arms curling or moving a weight that is equal to your body weight, you know, if you're and I do at least two sets of these from when I start my chin up workout, there's no curl.
[00:41:42] I can move 240 pounds in. and. The movement is exceptional at at stimulating growth. For the very reason that you're moving your body. And the weight through space simultaneously when you're doing any other [00:42:00] type of curl or tricep pushdown or tricep Kickback, that's not true, you know only your arms the appendages and the weight are moving you change that to your entire body moves.
[00:42:13] Like let's say now you're strong enough to do weighted Palms up close grip chins. You're going to blow every other curl out of the water and you only need a couple of three sets. And working those hard to see the results. So, you know, this is just me. We've only got so much time and energy don't waste time and energy on tricep kickbacks and concentration curls.
[00:42:41] Put yourself pour yourself rather into the big compound movements. You'll build arms to your genetic limit and probably fast or at least a lot faster been working them directly. So Nick Nilsson who writes about how to exploit [00:43:00] exercises help not only agrees with you, but he does something to that Palms up close grip pull-up.
[00:43:09] to take. The brachial zout of the movement and put all of the stress on the biceps. He so at right where your elbow is back of your forearm there. He puts a pad across the Smith machine that has his pull-up bar on yeah so that your your elbow is pressing against that. So now just think about your isolating the upper you're isolating the forearm.
[00:43:38] The forearm is not doing anything except gripping and when you pull your pulling straight up with your bicep because your body can't swing under the bar. It's got to stay out and it's almost like a concentration curl in that movement. It's insane. Most people wouldn't be able to do. That's brilliant.
[00:43:58] Can you post a [00:44:00] that's a face? I'm just gonna I'm just gonna I'm going to mention that I talked about this and I'm going to have him I'm going to go to his wall right now and have him post this. Yeah that that is brilliant. It really is. Yeah. It's a kill. I mean a lot of guys are going to think they can do it and you can't I mean you got to this is something you gotta grow into.
[00:44:18] Right. It's eve at the Smith machine isn't totally it's with this. Well, I don't know that he was the Smith machine, you know, he has a power rack. It's probably power another Smith. Yeah, but but what he does is where you grab the ball with your hands right there where your elbows and the back of your forearm are the he has a bar that goes across with Pat a pad on it and he and your arm hits that so you're you're locked in all that's moving at that point in time is everything from the elbow out.
[00:44:46] That's it. I'll message him and tell him to put that up. Yeah, and just in one of the thing if you're going to add an inch to your to your upper arms plan on gaining between [00:45:00] 1520 pounds of body weight. Yeah on the rest of your body and the rest. Right? Right. I know because of the good because believe me people who just train their arms the rest of their body grows to just for the record.
[00:45:15] Okay last question before we take a break and come back for the blueprint tip of the day trade. Martin says can you talk about crowd? Mm and what it does what strange you use in our best and how much to take? Yeah, and Incredibly interesting and effective. Plant herb, whatever you want to call it.
[00:45:39] This stuff came out of you know, the jungles of Indonesia and thereabouts in the world in that area to really rock a lot of people. I mean Rock in the good way so freedom, We think it works through something called the MU opioid receptors, [00:46:00] although it is not. Most certainly it does not and opioid.
[00:46:05] It does have similar effects in that shortly after taking it for me. It's about 20 minutes. You feel your muscles like unlock and relax simultaneously though. Your brain is is really alert you feel like doing something and that but the beauty of it is. It's not just going to lift weight you could just as easily sit down and read a book write a book research a particular compound, etc.
[00:46:41] Etc. So, you know, that's a that's again a supplement that produces a very visible feelable effect. And that kind of, you know, people like that obviously so we get to the question of strains and what they do. I [00:47:00] would tell you that. at RIT the red and yellow strains are relaxing there much better if you want to, you know, take Kratom and watch, you know videos all day or.
[00:47:15] Just kick back and relax and talking to people and you feel much more at ease and you're much more fluid and your brain seems to work so much better. Some people it puts them to sleep the red and the yellow. I'm not one of them, but the red strain certainly do do that in a quite quote. Excuse me, quite a number of people.
[00:47:40] On the positive energy side. The experience that I have is green and white strings are very energetic so. Tell me what I described in the beginning you'll take it. [00:48:06] I'll put it that way, but you feel like getting up and doing something and for the very reason Carl that you mentioned. Your earlier your points about caffeine people don't want to go down that road anymore because they're not getting any of the good effects and they're only getting the bad ones.
[00:48:24] So they switch to create time for pre workout. And they love it, you know and it doesn't right and God bless them, you know, that's a better alternative and plus if it's it has an analgesic effect. So if you have any aches and pains, they're gone. Yeah work out. Yeah, I forgot about that has a very strong analgesic Effect one thing you should know before taking your Kratom and hopping into your car.
[00:48:50] Take a good look in the mirror about 45 minutes after you down three grams of it. You will notice that your pupils become [00:49:00] tiny. [00:52:03] Okay, right. I what is the blueprint tip of the day? Rob tip of the day is Vindication after 25 years. So longtime listeners probably. Know me to be in the advocate for several different things. Sometimes it's training. Sometimes it's diet but most prominently with me. Anyway, I always spoke spoke to the virtues of XD sterile.
[00:52:35] In fact going back 25 years and. I need to tell you, you know, I could have I could have made my life a lot easier had I picked a more accepted compound at the time, but I didn't I was Resolute in my opinion that XD sterile. Could [00:53:00] accelerate your gains in muscle mass and strength and a few other things.
[00:53:06] Well, the first well-designed Western study on XD steroid use in in humans is in and this is an important point because up until this point. There were only test tube and animal studies right for a little creatures certainly in rats. You know, I remember the headline at least their own gives a rat's Mega muscles and so some of the clues were there but still I had people look it's not going to work.
[00:53:40] It's not going to work in human beings. It may do something and insects and rats, but not people well. Perfect. It is it sure did produce some amazing effects including according to the authors of [00:54:00] performance enhancement effect. So let's get into it cuz I really want you to understand the extent to which the scientist went to make sure their results were valid these German researchers divided 46 young men into four different groups three groups train with weights during a 10 week trial one group.
[00:54:25] Took a placebo and two others used to supplement with XD stero and then the fourth group used XD, but did no exercise so. one of those groups of men. Who exercised use the recommended dose of two capsules of this particular product? And by the way, it wasn't even the best exterior on Source in my opinion.
[00:54:54] It was spinach. So now we they isolated the acne from the spinach. They didn't just feed these guys [00:55:00] spinach. Right? Right. Okay, it was a deep spinach extra. Okay and upon analysis of the supplement that amounted to only. 12 milligrams of vectis Tehran per day the men who didn't rain also took that dose and then finally another group right a Physically Active men.
[00:55:22] These are people new to weight training. They took eight capsules of the same product which amounted to forty eight milligrams of XD stare on today. So the subjects who used the ectopy and worked out with weights built up more muscle than the subjects who trained with weights and in took Placebo and I'll get into how much because it is statistically significant the higher dose in particular the 48 milligram group proved to be effective.
[00:55:55] So. Right off the bat. We see a dose-dependent [00:56:00] increase in results with XD stare on how much the subjects take forty eight milligrams a day over 10 weeks put on between 4 and 5 pounds of muscle and while that might not be earth-shattering. It's not the 20 pounds or third. He said methyl 1 Test could add these were gangs.
[00:56:25] That's stick around and they are very realistic and other words in the future. If you were to go off at you still wrong, you're not going to lose these pounds overnight and this was muscle, you know, they just didn't didn't measure excuse me measure weight on the scale. It was a it was muscle tissue and in their words quote.
[00:56:50] This project demonstrates the performance enhancing effect of XD stare own in humans. So [00:57:00] I spoke spoke before about the extent to which these scientists went in order to, you know, make sure it wasn't something else. It was just the empty stare. Oh, I'm going to pull up now. I'm going to read this because it's it's important for you to understand.
[00:57:18] Quote it says to ensure the specificity of the effects measured a comprehensive screening for prohibited performance enhancing drugs or substances was also carried out further more the administration the excuse me, the administered supplement has been tested for the absence of anabolic steroid contaminations prior to Administration.
[00:57:43] Significantly higher increases in muscle mass were observed in those participants who were dosed with XD sterile the same hypertrophic effects were also detected in vitro. So in the test tube even more relevant with [00:58:00] respect to Performance Sports Performance significantly more pronounced increases in one repetition bench press.
[00:58:09] Performance were observed no increases in biomarkers for liver. And kidney toxicity was noticed these data underlying the affect the effectiveness of a neckpiece are on supplement with respective Sports Performance. Our results strongly suggest the inclusion of XD steroids. The list of prohibited substances and methods in sports class s 1.2 Cortland quote other anabolic agents now wait a minute now, wait a minute now tell who actually performed and funded this study.
[00:58:49] Right, right because before I spoke about you can make the studies do pretty much whatever you want. Right, you know, the supplement company will give the university a couple hundred [00:59:00] thousand is hey, you know, here's this here's the, you know, do the test went to hhm be free acid for instance comes back right ridiculous.

To determine was does this stuff have a performance enhancing effect and I would suggest to you that not only does it have a performance-enhancing.
[00:59:46] In fact, it has a very significant performance enhancing effect. So when you go back 25 years when I was speaking to [01:00:00] its virtues on the board. And I was writing books about these their own protocols developing training programs for optimal use with XD stair own and then finally doing two products with super high quality xdc.

And so let's be clear about this disinterested but interested and why I say that is because this group.
