Finding ways to combat the obesity epidemic is of paramount importance. There is a newly researched small molecule that may do just that in the face of the Standard American Diet. In fact it may do much more than that. It may build muscle faster and improve strength in just 2 weeks of use.

Show Notes:
[4:53] 5- amino 1 MQ
- Targets NMNT.
- It is a small molecule.
[6:35] Related to NAD+
[7:47] The targeted enzyme is correlated with obesity, Type II diabetes, and liver cirrhosis.
[9:15] Intracellular vs. extracellular NAD+
- This molecule increases intracellular concentrations of NAD+.
- NAD+ therapy can increase senescence of cells.
[12:12] Trial results in mice with high fat diet induced obesity.
- 6% drop in bodyweight in 11 days.
- Cholesterol dropped 30%
- Fat cell size decreased.
- Ability for lipogenesis decreased ~70%.
- 5A1MQ is orally bioavailable.
- Long lasting increases in NAD+
[14:49] Why does NMNT increase as we age?
- There are multiple reasons. We need it for methylation.
[16:23] The other study showed anabolism.
- 51AMQ activated satellite cells to increase healing in muscles.
- It also helps to revert cells back to a quiescent state.
- 2x increase in cross-sectional area of muscle after damage.
- 70% long-term. increase in contractile force .
[20:36] Post workout oxytocin/ 51AMQ combination possible.
[22:18] MToR- How is it affected by 51aMQ?
[24:14] What about glucose signaling?
- There is most likely a positive response.
[30:45] Dosing.
- 100-150mg on a daily basis.
- Fasted on an empty stomach.
- Could be taken pre-workout.
- Possible provocation of anxiety.
- This is an uncommon side experienced at high doses.
[33:08] Will the body try to compensate for down-regulated enzyme levels?
- A month on/ month off protocol is recommended.
[34:52] Potential combo with BPC, TB-4, and GHRp-6 for speeding recovery from injury.
[35:35] Increased energy means that it shouldn’t be taken at night.
[36:14] No known effects on redox reactions.
[37:05] No need to stack with NAD+
[37:51] Fat is not necessarily obesogenic in the presence of carbs.
[39:49] Monthly cost of 51amq?
- 240 dollars/month.
- Not available anywhere else.
[40:56] Best dilutant for current stock of peptides.
- Specific exceptions, such as Tesamorelin, require sterile water.
- Usually, it does not matter.
- Carl prefers bacteriostatic NaCl.
[42:52] Is shelf life variable in peptides?
- Not nearly as fragile as most people will say.
- MOTSC is fragile.
[44:48] What does cellular telephone radiation do to peptides?
- The cilia on cells act as antennae. Refer to our show with Dr. Bob Dennis.
[46:50] Putting multiple peptides in the same syringe.
