SHR # 2453 :: The BluePrint Power Hour

Show Notes:

[6:26] GH releasers to increase IGF-1 levels: Secretagogue 1 gold?

  • The product is a rip off.
  • Get a blood test for IGF-1 levels.
  • Working your way up to 10g of glycine and eventually GABA would be a better option.
  • com CJC and GHRP-6
  • Give it 3 months.

[16:37] Biotest supplements.

  • They were very innovative 20 years ago.
  • Stale product line.
  • They did, however, deliver the first transdermal 4-AD.
  • MAG-10 was a mixture of 4-AD and 1-test.
  • They also released a nor-ephedrine based fat burner.
  • There were also several losers:
  • Today, they push indigo-3g

[22:50] CJC 1295 with ipamorelin?

[23:52] Training to failure?

  • The term failure is subjective and needs a standardized definition.
  • Is the failure concentric, eccentric, or isometric?
  • Heavy band training can allow for very efficient concentric failure in most parts of the strength curve when incorporated in several big movements.
  • Lack of sleep will derail this training progression quickly.

[36:09] Strategies to overcome being addicted to training too much.

  • You can train intensely or long/frequently, but you can’t do both.
  • Undulating periodization is a great strategy.
  • Progression, not crushing yourself, is key.
  • Take your extra energy and put it toward another passion or your weaker points (i.e. cardio)

[42:03] Trap bar deadlifts- will I lose strength on sumo deads if I switch?

  • They are completely different lifts, but the trap bar deadlift carries over well.
  • It is more quad dominant than a posterior chain exercise.
  • Use a wide stance box squat and GHR as adjuncts for the posterior chain.

[46:22] AOD 9604

  • It will suppress natural GH release if you don’t use it alongside secretagogues.
  • Must be injected multiple times per day in order to see the fat loss effects from it.

[49:33] What to do for broad shoulders?

  • Breathing squats/ breathing pullovers expand the ribcage when done at an early age.
  • Balancing the rear/lateral delts with front delts is very important.
  • Rob advocates the Bradford press.
  • Prioritize the delts by shifting shoulder movements to the beginning of your sessions.
  • Hand stand shoulder presses.
  • Leverage squat machine press mimics a jammer press.

[59:16] If AAS were legalized, what would you take?

  • Trenbolone- awesome strength gains and best used in combo with estradiol.
  • A bombs.

[1:09:02] Boldenone.

  • Carl doesn’t think that anyone is getting legit boldenone.

[1:15:58] Tip of the day: History of the supplement industry.

  • Started in the 50’s- Rio Blaire’s protein supplement.
  • Vince Gironda’s liver tabs.
  • Anabolic steroids ran parallel to these supplements.
  • SARMs will most likely be out of the picture for a while.
