Show Transcript SHR # 2547 :: The BluePrint Power Hour

Some questions answered on today's show:

Mark Callus
I’ve heard you say to cycle most supplements. Any exceptions to that rule?

Phil Hickerson
I heard your shoulder routine the other day and understand all the pressing exercises. What about stuff for your rear and side delts?

Richard Murdoch
I’m really getting into intermittent fasting, but want to put on a lot of muscle. Can you do it with IF and if so, how?

Steve Williams
What was the supplement you teased a few weeks back, the one you sent down to MASS? What’s it designed to do??

Bobby Jaggers
I did my first handstand pushup last week and wanted to thank you for helping me get there. So much more gratifying than the barbell press! Other than building up the reps, where do I go from here?

  • Your shoulders should not be naturally pronated when they are resting at your side.
  • Facepulls on shoulder days.
  • Chest/back days: jump sets with a 1:1 ratio of pull to push movements, rep for rep.
  • Increase density as a progression.

[8:03] How to deal with a partially torn tricep.

  • The goal is to improve blood flow with concentric-focused exercises.
  • BPC-157: ½ mg 2x/day and IGF-1 EC.
  • Keep the muscle flexible to help mitigate scar tissue.

[28:18] More on the supplement that Rob teased a few weeks back.

  • it is designed to be taken at bedtime and should assist in body recomp.
  • Mixability is still being fine-tuned.

[36:17] How to progress handstand pushups when you can only do one rep.

  • After you can do 5-6 reps, start adding light weights with an adjustable weight vest.
  • or perform on handles to increase ROM.
  • Or do handstands away from a wall.

[49:43] Tip of the day: the world is opening up again.

  • Several people put on a good bit of fat.
  • Some people stayed on track and focused on progressing what they could. They came out ahead.

[1:14:36] Carl’s experience with DHM.
