[7:05] Is there any real benefit to nitric oxide type products?

  • Nutrient delivery.
  • Waste disposal.
  • Proper training can increase bloodflow 400%
  • Beet root and red spinach extract can be useful, but there is only one source that is standardized.
  • Watermelon contains a high amount of citrulline.
  • Tribulus terrestris is rich is furostenolic sapinoids that will increase bloodflow.
  • Celery and arugula are rich in nitrates.

  • GRF is a good indicator of kidney health.

  • Lose fat.
  • Some people aren’t built to do lots of distance running.
  • You could also be mentally weak in the endeavor.
  • Insulin resistance kicks in as your age. This compromises mitochondrial function.
  • Use a glucometer to get your fasting glucose under 90.
  • Get your TIBC and ferritin checked.
  • Incorporate AMPK activators such as ALA, bitter melon, etc that reduce insulin resistance.

[53:47] Astragalus for an enhanced bodybuilder.

  • If your goals are health and wellness, it is worth using.
  • It won’t do much from a bodybuilding perspective.

[54:53] Does L-carnitine do anything for fat loss?

  • Rob feels the results are marginal at best.
  • Shifting the microbiome to prefer more fatty acids make you very lethargic ( in the case of GH use).
