The BluePrint Power Hour
[7:26] What’s the story on NO2 type products?
- A thirty day supply of AAKG used to be 70 dollars.
- It possibly provided a marginally better pump, and Rob always considered it a purely cosmetic product.
- Citrulline and agmatine are both better alternatives.
- A small watermelon is great for a pump.
- Highly branched cyclic dextrins are great for an intra workout carb source for pumps.
- Other alternatives products to look into would be, taurine, glycerine, grape seed extract, electrolytes, nitrosigene, nitratene.
[15:35] How does Rob reconcile with using ephedrine at 50?
[22:00] How much muscle has Rob lost from doing only calisthenics?
- He has accrued his mass over a longer period, and he is doing more volume now.
- One of the upsides is that you don’t need to get as pumped up for a session when you are doing calisthenics.
[27:00] Is there anything that replicates kratom’s dopaminergic and pain-relieving effects?
- Not that Rob knows of.
[34:20] What kind of leg routine for a 6’4’’ male who really needs to grow his legs?
- Box squats would not fit the bill.
- Belt squats, leverage squats, and hack squats will give you more stimulus to the quads.
- Step ups are also a great movement to use.
- You will need to progress in weight, reps, volume, density, or tension to provide a stimulus to grow regardless of what movement you choose.
[43:20] A question on a pop when doing spider curls.
[48:19] Increasing bone mass protocol.
- Nothing compares to weight training.
[57:45] ECAY + geranium extract question
- ECA is all that is required.
[1:00:50] Gaining muscle after 50.
[1:07:20] Rebuttal to Rob’s position on kratom.
[1:15:00] Tip of the day: the importance of building muscle.
