The BluePrint Power Hour

[12:20] How to lower hematocrit without lowering blood.

  • Red blood cell levels are not always a linear climb.
  • Look into inositol hexaphosphate (IP6).
  • There are home phlebotomy kits, but Rob does not recommend them.
  • Don’t look just at ferritin. Inflammtion, and vitamin c can raise it.
  • Look at TIBC on blood tests. You probably want it below 50.

[21:56] How should I change my volume when switching to bodyweight training in order to save size?

[26:40] The relationship between TSH and hypothyroidism.

  • If you are hypothyroid, look into supplementing with tyrosine and kelp.

[29:54] Rob’s progress in the Kavadlo brothers’ program.

[36:23] Prostate issues- I have a hard time urinating.

  • First thing to do is go to the doctor and get checked for cancer just to rule it out.
  • PSA scores will be high if you have had sex in the past day.
  • Don’t look at just absolute values, look at trends in your data.
  • It could be a urinary tract infection.
  • If you have a UTI and can’t get antibiotics, use apple cider vinegar.
  • If your PSA’s are high and they want a biopsy, inquire if there are better markers than PSA.
  • Low dose tadalafil can aid the problem.

[49:12] Synthagen testimonial. It also seems to improve mood. Why?

  • Rob suspects that it is due in part to TMG, which is a precursor to SAM-e.
  • Orotic acid can regenerate ATP in three different ways, giving possible rise to atp levels in the brain.
  • Magnesium makes the ATP bioavailable.

[56:21] The feds are going after kratom and delta-8.

[1:08:57] Tip of the day:  AST research, the amino acid gaba, and the end of an era.

  • Rob recollects his first experience with GABA.
  • Be aware of the flushing and lethargy that you will experience when using it. It can catch you off guard the first time that you use it.
  • AST has recently discontinued selling GABA.
  • Beware of contaminants in foreign sourced GABA.
  • GABA not only improves the quality of sleep, it also increases thyroid hormone production.
