[10:03] Some of the newer weight gainer formulas look a lot better than back in the day. Do they have any value?

  • The premise has value because growing muscle requires a lot of calories.
  • Some use better sources of carbs, creatine, etc.
  • The best gainers are the ones that you make yourself with a blender.

[22:00] I don’t feel as if I am getting results from supplements.

  • Are your expectations realistic?
  • Value of return on investment is subjective.
  • Your nutrition should be on point and be SUPPLEMENTED by supplements.

  • Rob doesn’t like CLA.
  • Injectable carnitine seems to have more benefit than oral carnitine.

  • You are your own leader in and out of the gym. Leaders are supposed to plan ahead.
  • If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
  • Set clear, objective goals, make a microplan goal to achieve that goal in a timeframe that is dictated by you, adjust actions ( go to your backup plan) when necessary.
  • Take responsibility for what happens.
