Carl mentioned ignoring the Macro values, so I thought I could help out: If you log on to the actual website myfitnesspal.co m just once, you can adjust those ratios in your 'goals' to 50/30/20 or whatever you would like, and from then on your phone will automatically use those NEW values when telling you how much more carbs, protein, etc you need.
That might help you out so you don't have to do the math in your head.
I love SHR; thanks for keeping us listeners so well "feed" with interesting information.
I would like to make a small criticism about something you said on the Friday show though. With reference to the Mat Lalonde comment, you seem to make the same mistake the you yourself criticized regarding people who attack "The Paleo Fantasy" without having read it. You should have listened to Lalonde's comments before dismissing them.
Lalonde's argument isn't that we're not still evolving but that Zuk's examples of quick evolution aren't convincing. On the other hand he is critical of some assumptions of paleo and agrees with Zuk that a lot of Cordaine's arguments aren't based on sound science.
It's worth listening to his interview and maybe even have him on the show for a different perspective. And Lalonde has always seemed scientific, rather than dogmatic, in his approach to nutrition.
