Show Notes
[7:03] Negative only training.
- Negatives do have value but not as a stand-alone training system.
- You can lower more weight than you can lift in a controllable fashion.
[13:25] Why does Rob display discrepancy of creatine use?
- It depends on your current saturation levels, insulin, etc.
- Rob uses it as an ace in the hole.
- Run it for 8-12 weeks and come off for a month.
[19:19] Rob’s take on bcaa’s with extra leucine.
- They are easier to flavor than EAA, however EAA are superior in terms of muscle protein synthesis.
- They may cause blood sugar issues at higher doses.
- There is no evidence of benefit to adding extra leucine to bcaa’s.
[23:56] Can steady state cardio balance out left ventricle hypertrophy?
- There are 2 types of LVH.
- Pathological is the worse of the two and involves the thickening of the walls.
- The other type is physiological and involves the ability of the heart to pump harder.
- Igf-1 helps with pathological cases.
- Steady state cardio does help.
[32:58] Are pullovers dangerous? What about machine vs dumbbell?
- You can’t really generalize the matter.
- Unique anatomy or machine designs could possibly be dangerous.
- There is usually a variation that you can do productively.
- Use a machine for back and a DB for chest and triceps.
[39:55] Superbolic: what was it, and what was in it?
- Stored in glass vials.
- Probably had large doses of b vitamins.
[45:26] Using boron in lieu of proviron.
- You may not want to lower SHBG.
- Refer to our show on megalin or the free androgen theory with Dr. Scott Stevenson.
