Humans Living In Captivity
with Guest Randy Roach
This show first aired in 2007. Its message is more true today than when it first aired. Our government wants to control what we eat, how we raise children, what words we use to describe ourselves and more. While you may not be able to see the bars, we're no different than animals at the zoo. Humans in captivity.

Show Notes:
Humans Living in Captivity
[00:01:06] We as humans are actually in captivity in a sense, our “captors” have a cage around our mindset. We as humans have lost our intuition on what is good for us and what is not.
[00:01:34] We do not use our intuition; we use our minds. We become very mind oriented as opposed to intuitive and it is how our culture has forged us.
[00:02:25] There is an awareness or grassroots consciousness going on in the nation, when I hear some of the things that people are saying about nutrition. It seems like there is an awakening taking place right now about this type of subject
[00:02:44] Our biggest bottleneck is the media. There is a lot of people getting far more astute as to what is going on in terms of losing freedoms.
[00:04:02] Common sense have been bred out of us by “marketing.” Today people have no intuition about raising their own children. They have to turn to a book to get information.
[00:04:58] Randy tells a story about raising children and the discussion continues on prison systems.
[00:07:30] Carl and Randy talks about the studies showing that eating red meat causes cancer.
[00:14:00] It really is important to realize that we are humans in captivity. We are not free of the influences of our captors and the influences that have reduced our ability to be intuitive. We as a civilization are showing the same behaviors as animals in captivity. Randy expounds on the most interesting studies showing this phenomenon as well as a story about Edward Bernays.
[00:19:00] An fascinating discussion on how the media and big corporations use marketing to draw consumers in.
[00:22:00] Randy talks about something remarkable he wrote regarding this subject in his book Volume 1: Muscle, Smoke & Mirrors.
[00:24:30] We are currently the sickest people that have ever walked the planet. We have children today at 12 years old that are diabetic or that have colon cancer.
[00:25:45] In 2 – 3 years 80% of disease could be gone if the American government had the courage to put the food manufacturers and the pharmaceutical industry in their place on behalf of American people. The people have the power, but we cannot get ourselves together long enough to enforce that power.
[00:26:00] Carl has a theory about not paying mortgage.
[00:32:30] The access to healthy food and the ability to choose and make the right choices is of paramount importance. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the population does not believe there is even a problem.
[00:34:08] I am a raw food eater. I have had 8 people who were terminal to talk about the potential of doing raw food. None of them would do it because they got zero support from their family and doctors.
[00:35:00] Carl tells a riveting story about Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and another story about his father.
[00:40:00] The definition of instinct from the Miriam Webster's Dictionary: a inheritable and unalterable tendency of an organism to make a complex and specific response to environmental stimuli without involving reason. The discussion on intuition continues.
[00:41:00] Randy talks about his personal experience and practice of instinct and intuition. The discussion continues on left and right brain dominance and embracing differences.
[00:46:00] It is time to break out. You can break out all on your own. It takes a change in mindset. It takes a change in your belief system, and you will benefit from it, not just yourself, but those around you.
[00:47:05] One of the ways that you can start to trust your instinct is to better understand your ancestors.
[00:47:48] The other way that you can learn to trust your own judgment is to read a book like Muscle, Smoke & Mirrors.
[00:49:25] Listen to the talk turning to raw food, whole natural diets, and the false premises about cholesterol.
[00:51:49] Randy ends off with talking about Volume II of Muscle, Smoke & Mirrors.
