[10:36] Estrogen is misunderstood.
- It is anabolic, lipolytic, and anti-inflammatory.
- It is also a first responder in brain trauma.
- Responsible for transcription of RNA to DNA.
[12:36] Estrogen’s role in soft-tissue.
- It is responsible for tensile strength in ligaments.
- It increases collagen production and lowers inflammation.
- AI’s anecdotally lead to tendon issues in athletes.
- Imbalances can lead to old looking skin.
[17:08] Estrogen dominance in females can have the same effects as a shortage in males.
- Men and women are going through andropause and menopause early on.
- This plays heavily into bone and soft tissue health.
