[00:10:22] Listener first gives some context around why he is asking the following question. Does there come a point in every life where intense exercise becomes counterproductive?
• With age, intense exercise becomes more difficult, but when properly performed not counterproductive.
• “Intense” is a relative term.
• The changes that happen in a man's body after age 40 are substantial. You don't bounce back as fast, but it is simply a matter of making some changes.
• The symptoms the listener described are most likely not from exercise:
o Investigate which foods might cause an allergic or inflammatory reaction.
o Explore the reasons for poor sleep.
o Try to figure out what changed in your daily routine since the onset of symptoms.
o The Covid vaccine has been proven to cause many of the ailments the listener is presenting with. This goes for Long Covid as well.
o New research shows that fatigue from Long Covid might be due to inflammation in the brain. Experimenting with EAA’s could be a good route to go.
o Sometimes by donating blood, you can get rid of metabolic debris, i.e., remnants of the vaccine and the virus
[00:24:10] A few very interesting statements on the aspiration, or lack thereof, when getting a vaccine shot.
[00:27:00] A compelling discussion on the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) ensues.
[00:38:00] Some possible Long Covid treatment ideas and advice from listeners and Coach Rob.
[00:39:22] Apart from taking various immunity function boosters, will focusing on Vitamin C be worth the money?
• Prevention wise – 3 grams of Vitamin C (plain ascorbic acid) per day.
• When you feel an illness coming on or you are already ill – double, triple or quadruple your intake.
• The studies of Dr. Frederick R Klenner, proves the amazing benefits of consuming gram amounts of Vitamin C.
• Vitamin C is one of the best allrounders and works synergistically with Quercetin, Corticosteroids, Collagen, and many more.
[00:48:20] Can Vitamin C help thyroid anxiety?
• Probably a good idea to explore the reasons (physical or psychological) for the anxiety further.
[00:49:36] Glycerin for frequent urinating at night, not helping. Any ideas?
• Might be worth exploring prostate issues.
• Fish oil could be helpful.
• Increase nitric oxide levels in the prostate.
• Get testosterone levels checked.
[00:51:41] Are Jiaogulan/Gyno Stemma effective as adaptogens?
• Definitely not the most effective.
• Rhodiola and Bacopa are better alternatives.
[00:53:33] Carl tells a very funny story about how you don’t have to be a genius to be in charge.
[00:56:20] What are the benefits of R ALA (R-alpha-lipoic acid), what’s the dosage and when should it be taken?
• Alpha lipoic acid is unique in that it is both a fat- and water-soluble antioxidant.
• It lends itself well to recycling other antioxidants, like vitamin C and vitamin E.
• Controls blood sugar very well.
• 100 mg, 15 to 20 minutes before a meal.
[01:00:05] My wife just turned 43 and was diagnosed with macular degeneration. Is there anything we can do to help? I've looked into near infrared, but I'm concerned that it won't be enough?
• Melatonin stops the progression of macular degeneration.
[01:06:25] Listen to a riveting debate on steroid use in sports
[01:19:11] Can I condition my fighters without running? It seems to affect their sparring and it takes a toll on their joints and back.
• Anaerobic conditioning for fighters can get them in shape by doing
o pushing and pulling sleds,
o hitting the heavy bag,
o rope pulls.
[01:21:00] The steroid and political rant continues ?
[01:22:57] Does PEAK ATP (patented form of Adenosine 5’-Triphosphate Disodium) or oral ATP work? Creatine causes bloating, could creatine citrate be better than creatine monohydrate?
• Many independent studies show that oral ATP is not effective at all.
• The body disassembles it and renders it inactive.
• There is a product called elevATP. It's a combination of ancient peat extract and a compound that is extracted from apples.
o It’s a hundred percent organic and not produced in a lab.
o It stimulates your body to produce its own ATP.
o It prevents performance decrements seen during overreaching, under eating or a combination of both.
• Orotic acid is another non-creatine ATP booster which helps regenerate ATP in three different ways. It's been used for years in improving the bioavailability of minerals and other compounds.
• The bloating could be caused by too high of a dosage
o Lower the dosage and take it with food.
o Skipping the loading dose should also minimize bloating.
o Creatine is sodium dependent, take it with a little sodium for better uptake
• Creatine citrate has not been shown to be any better than monohydrate.
• Alternatively, creatine anhydrous or creatine hydrochloride could be used.
[01:28:50] I have Hashimoto's, can thymosin alpha 1 help?
• Thymosin Alpha 1 won't help unless you remove the thing that is affecting your Hashimoto's.
o The problem is most probably diet.
o Almost all autoimmune disorders dissipate when consuming the carnivore diet.
o Thymosin Alpha 1can help make you better and reverse the damage, but you have to get rid of the insult first.
[01:42:47] Blueprint Tip of the Day:
Why don’t more supplement companies stand the test of time?
• Coach Rob elaborates in detail on numerous supplement companies that have not stood the test of time.
• Coach Ron names a few companies that have indeed continued to be successful.
• The biggest reason companies fail can be summed up in one word - ego.
• They seem to think once they got to a certain level, that they would never go out of business, the market would never change, and their customers would never leave.
• The one common denominator between the successful companies’ longevity, is somebody at the top who eats, breathes, and lives the kind of lifestyle that athletes and like-minded people do.
• These people in the good companies, use their own products, they believe in their products, and they invest in them.
• The next time you spend hard earned money, ask yourself, is this the kind of company and the kind of people that I want to support?
• Support the brands and the people that you know to be true to label, and that are honest in their marketing and try to get to know the people behind the products and the company.
• By supporting the good guys, you ensure that we, our kids, and the future generations have access to inexpensive, relatively effective, natural, over the counter items that enhance your quality of life.
